When there's trauma in your past, and you've never learned how to process that experience, you need to get some kind of help and learn techniques that allow you to live with the memories. If you don't, it will fester inside of you and at some point burst out of you in an uncontrolled way, perhaps with terrible and tragic consequences...

Nurse Emma Brown is a Goth in her personal life and a nurse by day. Arriving at work, she has been assigned to get a routine EKG trace on a patient for the cardiologist to examine later, to see if there's an underlying problem. With the patient already wired by the nurse on the outgoing shift, it should be an easy job - just get the trace and send the patient on her way. But when Emma walks into the treatment room and looks down on her patient, her blood runs cold, her system becomes flooded with adrenalin and her own heart goes into overdrive.....
There on the table is Lucy Watkins. Fifteen years ago she was the Head Cheerleader at High School and Emma was nobody, just another emo nerd to be despised. For five long years she delighted in making Emma's life as miserable as possible - stealing her stuff, subjecting Emma to group beatings with the help of her cronies, and most traumatic of all, holding Emma's head under a flushing toilet until she nearly drowned. There was never any justice, just trauma. The school didn't want to know, because Lucy was the school ambassador, the prom queen, the shining example. There was never any evidence, any witnesses. And all the fear, the hurt, the anger, suppressed for so long, started fighting it's way to the surface of Emma's tortured mind.
Lucy looks up. But there's not a hint of recognition.
"Have we met before?" asks Emma.
"No I don't think so" says Lucy nonchalantly.
Unbelievable. All that trauma and persecution, and now this bitch doesn't even remember who Emma is.
Something inside Emma snaps. The anger, the rage takes over. Emma's reason evaporates into thin air. While Lucy stares nonchalantly at the ceiling, her mind on the next day, Emma quietly turns on the anesthesia machine, turns the anesthetic vaporizer and nitrous to full, and picks up the anesthesia mask...
Lucy continues to daydream oblivious to what's going on as Emma creeps up mask in-hand
Having got behind, Emma suddenly presses the anesthesia mask onto Lucy's face and shouts I'M EMMA BROWN AND TODAY YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!!
Suddenly terrified, Lucy panics and struggles violently. Being physically fit and working out regularly, Lucy is nimble and strong, but she has been taken by surprise and now fifteen years of suppressed rage and hate, suddenly and violently released, has made Emma stronger! The mask is held firmly in place...
Emma, feels the pungent anesthetic vapor enter her lungs! She holds her breath and fights desperately for her life...
Lucy has struggled for a remarkably long time holding her breath, but has been unable to escape Emma's firm grip, and starved of oxygen, she begins to tire. Eventually the oxygen starvation reflex kicks in and Lucy involuntarily takes a huge breath. Her lungs fill with powerful anesthetic vapor...
Now involuntarily panting to make up the oxygen debt and with her heart pounding, Lucy rapidly absorbs the anesthetic into her system. She starts to feel numb and her struggles become increasingly ineffectual...
The room starts to spin...
Lucy's last memory as she slips into unconsciousness is everything dissolving...
Emma feels Lucy go limp beneath the mask. Now finally Lucy is completely helpless under Emma's power...
At this point the anesthetic is normally turned down to maintenance level, but Emma keeps it turned up to maximum. Emma has decided that Lucy won't be waking up...
Now deeply into the surgical level of anesthesia, Emma's breathing is steady and shallow...
With the anesthetic building up to excessive levels, it starts to interfere with Lucy's heart rate, causing skipped beats...
You won't be hurting anyone else now, Lucy Watkins...
Sleep now - sleep forever...
Large quantities of anesthetic continue to flood Emma's system, building up to toxic levels...
Lucy's heart rate starts to become erratic...
Emma leaves the vaporizer at maximum...
Emma's heart muscle, soaked in toxic levels of anesthetic, loses the ability to pump blood and goes into VF - ineffectually twitching...
With her heart twitching uselessly, Lucy's body tissues become starved of oxygen...
Lucy's heart and brain starts to die...
Of course, now with a dead body in front of her, Emma has no idea what to do next...
